We got up a half dozen times under the pretense of having to go pee. I sang lots of songs to her because the CD player didn't work. We laughed, we shared, we talked and I scribbled as fast as I could in my notebook because I didn't want to miss a single morsel, a single phrase. It will all end up in the books that are waiting to be written. We even shared some soy ice cream and cookies.
She melts my heart when she smiles without her teeth in at night. What a gift of love, what light, what joy. Between that and our unscheduled and certainly unexpected trip to County park to watch the stars come out yesterday afternoon it has been a rich 24 hours indeed.
