Thank you for sharing your views and knowledge on reflexology and the spirit of love and healing. I am a reflexology teacher, with three certifications and a Master in reflexology, but still have so much more to learn. Would love to come and be there to study more with you, and give myself the chance to heal.

My description of reflexology is:
Reflexology is the gift of love, in the art of healing - mind - body - spirit, one foot at a time. Master Helen Whysong

My wife has a long-standing ganglion on her foot (top side) which has been causing gradually more trouble over some years.

Can you tell me where I can find the information about what reflexology points might be indicated? (I have drawn a blank looking everywhere else.)

In September of 2000, I signed Oma's guestbook. So much has happened in four years. In May of 2001, my soul mate and husband, my twin flame as Oma called him, passed away at the age of 37 from Hodgkin's Disease. His illness and subsequent passing put me on a path to becoming a healer. Seeing Oma for reflexology was my first step so many years ago. I am now trained in a variety of healing arts including reflexology, massage, Reiki, hypnotherapy, past life regression therapy and, as of several weeks ago, just completed my training in spiritual psychotherapy.

All of this has been integral to the rebuilding of my life after losing my husband. I am very grateful to Oma for opening my eyes so many years ago to the power of reflexology. The love and respect she showed her clients over the years provided me with an excellent model for becoming a caring helper...and all of my clients receive an herbal foot bath and castor oil packs as part of their treatment.

I am glad to read that Oma is doing well. I hope to make it back to the west coast some time in the next few years. I am continuing to pursue more education in psychology and just enrolled in a masters degree program that will allow me to sit for licensure in California after graduation in two years. Baby steps back to eventually living in California again.

Sending love and light and many blessings,
Tambre Leighn

Dear Oma, Reflexologist Extraordinaire!
Two of your old friends (clients) have found their way into my "new life" as a beginning Reflexologist!!! They both send you their love and admiration. They are: Priscilla Dewey, and Lafond Lawrence. Because they had mentioned your name to me, I looked up your website, ( as I had previously done a while back ) --- and was very grateful to learn of the deeper meanings behind the Ritual Foot Bath, and also about visualizing the chakras. This information is wonderful, and is going to be a blessing to all future clients.

The school I attended was the American Academy of Reflexology (Bill Flocco-Director). It was a profound turning point in my life. Priscilla told me some of your methods while I worked on her the other day. It brought tears to my eyes... I so wished that I had known you when you were right in my backyard!!!!!

Much gratitude to you for sharing your unique gift with the world!

lovingly,
-monica-

Hello Everyone:

As Oma's lifestyle coach I just want to report that she is doing extremely well after having recovered from her heart surgery. She has adopted wonderful new diet and excercise routines which have brought her colesterol back to normal levels and have helped to rejuvinate her pancreas and thereby manage her blood sugar. I intend to document her wonderful progress including her methedologies later this fall on her home page. For now I'm happy to report that she is off (pharma)drugs, more actitive than ever and in addition to going sailing with me the other day she now wants to start riding her bicycle again.

On a beam of light
Thomas
Oma's Son and Coach

ps. Jesse in case you come back here I would like to answer your questions real quick. There is no one particularly practicing the oma method in Seattle. However I do believe that the Seattle Reflexology Center has integrated the ritual of the washing of the feet into their program. http://omareflex.com/retreat/ritual.html

you can find their site at:
http://www.seattlereflexology.com/

Oma is officially retired although she still gives a few treatments here and there to friends and family. If you are ever visiting the San Juans you could make contact and maybe receive a treatment.

Hi Oma
Have you ever come across anyone with Inflammatory myositis and treated the person. If you have what guidelines would you suggest for a reflexology treatment on a person suffering with this condition? Is there a Reflex I should be particularly careful to avoid or alternatively to stimulate?
I look forward to your response. This is an incredibly rare disease which none of my fellow Reflexologists is South Africa have had the honour of treating!
Thank you
Trudi

You touched me greatly, Oma, when you introduced yourself yesterday in Gig Harbor. I feel truly blessed to have met you and look forward to seeing you in Friday Harbor. I will contact my Friend, Bette Story, who also lives in Friday Harbor and hopefully you will meet. I will spend some time on your web site and find out more about your work. Just spending minutes with you spoke volumes of how your unique way of touching people has made a difference to many many people. You are truly special and blessed.
Take care and continue your special ways.

I first met OMA in the spring of 2000. She was recovering from her hip surgery by walking in the garden where I was working. I had never heard of Reflexology and she was more than willing to explain its benefits. I was about to undergo another Arthroscopy surgery on my right knee. I have had an ongoing knee pain for many years. After the surgery I was left with 72% extension ability and the only other option was a total knee replacement.

Oma encouraged me to try Reflexology and it has changed my life. I can now extend my leg to a full 96% without pain. during the sessions I am able to achieve total relaxation. This has been a great reward. My sleeping has much improved and I have even started to loose weight. I am now medication free and being able to walk without pain has given me a new lease on life. It has enabled me to keep up with my 8yr old niece.

My niece also received the benefits of Reflexology. she would snore so loud she would rattle the dishes; her mother said she would have to have surgery. My niece has been having treatments since the first of the year and now four months later she breaths deeper and much quieter. Her sleep is more peaceful and we both sleep better and feel better. Reflexology has put us both on the road to better health. Thank you again, we love you OMA.

Hi Oma, It's great to read through your website and see how many lives you have touched.

I am particularly fasinated with your 'Cradle' reflexology chair. Would you be willing to share the design of your chair with me. I am looking for something unique and beleive I have found it in your chair.

I would like to copy your concept and use it my clinic here in Perth Western Australia. However, I need more detail on the chair and it's design. Would you mind sending me through some more detailed images.

Many thanks Oma, I look forward to hearing from you soon.
