Oma's Celebration of Life 

As Oma had requested, after her departure from this earth a celebration of her life was held at Oma's Shambhala. Because Oma believed strongly that on the day of our birth we receive a special dispensation of light, we held the celebration on what would have been her 84th birthday.

Long ago, Oma asked us to remember that her departure would be a happy affair and that we would symbolize our rejoicing by wearing white. As you can see by the pictures, her wish was granted.

After a walk to Roche Harbor to listen to the noon bells as Oma always did we had a service back at the cottage. Each of Oma's four children gave a short address. Members of Oma's extended family, friends and patients of Oma's spoke to the gathering and shared their memories and anecdotes as well.
