Oma's life was rich and varied. Just how rich is only now coming to light
as I work my way through her archives and her past. Sitting at my desk
looking out into the forest as I write her life's story I often hear Oma's
voice in my head: "Don't make such a big deal out of my passing. This was
just one of the many adventures in my life." Indeed.
This page offers a collection of highly intimate e-mails and essays that were written about Oma's last adventure on this earth. They are candid, spiritual, and sometimes
graphic.
Oma was a teacher and although I am not sure she would
have fully approved of their candor, she would be pleased if they help
just one other family find the strength to support a loved one during
their final days. |
